Brendan is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) having trained with a mid sized practice, qualifying in 1991.

Brendan is a partner of the Audit and Assurance division of the practice.  He has over 25 years experience in advising clients from SME’s to listed companies in a range of business sectors.  His experience also includes the areas of insolvency, corporate consultancy and litigation support.

Brendan is also an external member of the Governance Committee and Surgery and Postgraduate Faculties Board of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, which provides training at undergraduate and post graduate level.

Brendan was a member of the International Auditing and Assurance Standards Board, from 2012 to 2016. The IAASB is an independent Global standard-setting body, based in New York, that develops auditing and assurance standards and guidance used by all professional accountants, under a shared standard-setting process involving the public interest.

In 2011 Brendan chaired the Thornton Hall Review Group established by the Minister of Justice, to examine and report on the need for new prison accommodation in Ireland.

Brendan is a past Global President of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) having served on its Global Council from 2000 until 2010.  In addition he is a Past President of ACCA Ireland (2000/01) and represented ACCA on the Consultative Committee of Accountancy Bodies – Ireland from 1999 until 2014. 

Brendan was appointed to the Irish Auditing and Accounting Supervisory Authority Technical Advisory Panel in March 2018.  The purpose of the panel is to advise the Authority at various stages of the development process of the Irish Auditing Framework.

Con Casey B.Sc.Mgmt FCCA

Con  is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.  Con is a highly experienced adviser on business, accounting, tax, litigation support, insolvencies and corporate finance matters.

Con qualified as a Chartered Certified Accountant in 1986 and has spent his entire career in practice.

Con has acted as adviser to a number of publicly quoted companies, semi-state organisations, international entities and heads up the consulting department of the firm specialising in business consulting and corporate finance.

 In addition to the above Con has been co-opted to the boards of two public limited companies. He has acted as consultant advisor to a number of companies on Stock Exchange flotations, quoted company mergers and acquisitions.

Damien Kealy B.Sc.Mgmt FCCA

Damien is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. An experienced professional with twenty years experience providing specialist accounting, advisory and compliance based advice to the public sector and not for profit organisations.

Damien has considerable experience of Public Sector compliance and governance requirements together with extensive audit and business consulting experience of National and EU financial control regulations.

Fergal McGrath FCCA AITI

Fergal has over twenty five years’ experience specialising in providing audit and advisory services to a broad range of clients including, entrepreneurial, Not for profit, owner managed business, SME’s, Large companies and plc’s.

Fergal was a founding partner of Casey McGrath and associates in 1992, with Con Casey which has now developed into the current partnership of LHM Casey McGrath. Prior to the establishment of Casey McGrath, Fergal had worked with Declan J. Gray & Co, J.S. McElroy and Fay McMahon.

Fergal has extensive experience of distribution, construction and exploration companies. Works in conjunction with the firms tax department and consulting departments in advising clients on specialised assignments.

A Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants having qualified in 1988 and an associate of the Institute of Taxation of Ireland.
 


 

   

   John Hamilton FCCA

John Hamilton FCCA M.Inst.D.
John is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants. John qualified with a general practice in Dublin and was admitted to the 7 man partnership in 1989. The Partnership was the largest ACCA practice at that time and was part of the UHY International Network of Independent Accounting and Consulting Firms. John left in 1994 to become a founding partner of what has now developed into the current partnership of LHM Casey McGrath after a successful organic and merged growth strategy over those intervening years.

John has served on ACCA networks and Committees during that time and is sitting on an Independent Panel of Committee Members for ACCA in London since 2007. John is also a Member of the Institute of Directors in Ireland.

John has a broad experience of client businesses over a range of sectors covering start ups to international organisations. John also manages the Revenue Audit assignments for the firm. 

John is a member of our Business and Advisory Department.

Padraig Connor B.Sc.Mgmt FCA AITI

Padraig is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.  He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and has spent his entire career in practice.

Specialising in advising SME’s, Padraig counts among his clients, federated pension schemes and publicly quoted mineral exploration groups.

Padraig leads the Business Advisory and Compliance department within the firm responsible for service delivery to the firms SME and owner managed business clients.
